BOSSIER CITY LA – Funeral services for Margaret Elizabeth Chunn, 74, will be held on Monday May 7, 2012 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Dr. Randy Harper officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving visitors from 11:00 until service time on Monday May 7, 2012. Margaret was a native of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee and completed her education at Soddy Daisy High School and Edmondson Business College. She was born on September 24, 1937 in and went to be with the Lord on May 3, 2012. She was a member of Bellaire Baptist Church, and an active member of the Hope Class. She was a dedicated mother,...

Margaret was a native of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee and completed her education at Soddy Daisy High School and Edmondson Business College. She was born on September 24, 1937 in and went to be with the Lord on May 3, 2012. She was a member of Bellaire Baptist Church, and an active member of the Hope Class. She was a dedicated mother, sister and friend to all that knew her.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Ellis Patten and Temmie Francis Clayton Patten; her loving husband, Ret. USAF Senior Master Sergeant Crawford Alex Chunn JR; a sister, Wanda Vaughn; and a grandson, Nikolas Chunn, son of Monica and Douglas Chunn.
She is survived by sons, Douglas Chunn and wife Monica, and Howard Eric Chunn; sisters, Sallie Thomas and husband Glenn, and Joanne Norris; Grandchildren, Tristen Chunn, Logan Chunn, Alexis Chunn, Emily Chunn, Ryann Chunn, Eric Chunn, Stephen Chunn, and Timothy Chunn; great-grandchild, Aliyah Chunn;
She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as a new great grandchild recently born to Stephen and Marissa Chunn.
Margaret worked in the medical field throughout her travels with her husband and eventually retired from Bossier Medical Center as a Medical Transcriptionist, after 20 years.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Arbors of Bossier City, the nurses and staff of St. Joseph's hospice, as well as Dr. Turakhia and staff for their support, love and care.
Margaret blessed all of our lives with her kindness and compassion and we can rejoice in the knowledge that she is with our Lord.
