Obituary

Margaret Frances Ellert passed away August 2, 2014. She was 100 years old. Margaret was born July 2, 1914 to Marguerite and Christopher McKeever in Brooklyn, New York. She resided in New York for a number of years, then moved to Lake Worth, Florida in the 1950's. She was quite the accomplished poet having many of her poems published mainly in the Saturday Evening Post. She also enjoyed painting and crochet. She was dedicated to her church, serving as a sacristan until the age of 98 when she moved to California to be near her family. Margaret was preceeded in death by her son, Laurence B. Ellert and granddaughter, Margaret Owens...

Margaret was preceeded in death by her son, Laurence B. Ellert and granddaughter, Margaret Owens Chaves. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Suzanne and Gerald Owens of Claremont, California and Margaret and Charles Martin of Alpharetta, Georgia; 3 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass is scheduled for 10:30 AM, August 18, 2014 at St. Margaret Mary Parish in Chino with internment of inurned remains at Oak Park Cemetery in Claremont.
