The Creator saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. He knew you walked the red road to help bring back our people into the sacred hoop, so that we might again walk the red road in a sacred manner pleasing to the powers of the Universe. The Creator put his arms around you and said “Come home Margaret” everyone will remember you left, and this gave your family memories too beautiful to forget...

A great spokesperson for the aboriginal Canadian community. I have heard her name spoken while I have lived in many provinces through the years. She was a great mother, teacher and community leader and cared very much for all those she encountered. It is only with regret that I had never sat and had a conversation with her.

I was so sorry to hear of Margaret's passing. She and her family have been close to both sides of my family (Nicholas and Barlow) for as long as I can remember. She was always so kind and welcoming...a good cook and I still have a pair of moccasins she made. She will always be remembered and I wish her family all my good thoughts and prayers! We were delighted to see Mrs LaBillois and her family on the day she received The Order of New Brunswick as we were having lunch at the Lord Beaverbrook Hotel. On our way past her table we stopped to express our congratulations and we could not have been more pleased or excited to see her on such a great occasion. Mrs LaBillois thanked us rather shyly and graciously. A truly great person and one who has left a lasting legacy to the people of Canada and New Brunswick in particular. To her family we send our deepest sympathy and give thanks for her long and fruitful life. May she rest in Peace and Rise in Glory.
