Margaret (Peggy) Reilly of Mystic, CT, formerly of New Fairfield, CT, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2014. She was the wife of John Patrick Reilly. She was born to Patrick and Catherine (Kennedy) Quirke in Glencar, Co Kerry Ireland on November 11, 1926. John and Peggy married and started their family in New York City (St. Nicholas of Tolentine Parish) for 25 years before moving to New Fairfield, CT ( St Edward the Confessor Church) where they lived for 30 years before retiring to Mystic, CT (St Mary's Church) 10 years ago. Margaret (Peggy) Reilly of Mystic, CT, formerly of New Fairfield, CT, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2014. She was the wife of John Patrick Reilly.
She was born to Patrick and Catherine (Kennedy) Quirke in Glencar, Co Kerry Ireland on November 11, 1926. John and Peggy married and started their family in New York City (St. Nicholas of Tolentine Parish) for 25 years before moving to New Fairfield, CT ( St Edward the Confessor Church) where they lived for 30 years before retiring to Mystic, CT (St Mary's Church) 10 years ago. This August would have been their 60th wedding anniversary.

Peggy's entire life was centered on devotion to her faith and adoration of her family. She is survived by her five children and their families; John and his wife Ellen (Monroe CT), Brian and his wife Susan (New Milford, CT), Kathleen and her husband Todd Cormier (Westport, MA), Margaret and her husband Frank Thompson (Ledyard ,CT), Patrick and his wife Susan (Guilford,CT). She was a loving grandmother to Colleen, Sarah, Brian, Sean, Brendan, Bridget, Connor, Erik, Caroline, Grace, and Step-grandmother to Dena, Keri, Jodi, Emily and William. Peggy was also Sister in-law and loving Aunt to a large extended family. Margaret is predeceased by all of her brothers and sisters; Martin, Mary (Foley), Hannah, John, Bridget, Paddy, Norah, Morris, Kathleen (McGillycuddy), and Timothy.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 18th at 10:30am at Saint Peter's Church in Danbury, CT. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

The family will receive family and friends on Tuesday from 4pm to 8pm at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in Peggy's memory may be made to Catholic Charities, 405 Main St., Danbury, CT 06810 or to your local Catholic Charities chapter.
