Margie Nell Adams, 84, of Pasadena, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 10, 2013. She was born on August 24, 1928, in Kemp, Texas to William and Ethel Duffey. Margie loved spending time at home with her family and will always be remembered by her loving eyes and soft hands. Her devotion to her faith and love in God was an inspiration to all that met her. She was a member of Glenwood Baptist Church since 2004. Margie has resided at San Jacinto Manor for the past 18 months. She will be missed dearly. Margie Nell Adams, 84, of Pasadena, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 10, 2013. She was born on August 24, 1928, in Kemp, Texas to William and Ethel Duffey. Margie loved spending time at home with her family and will always be remembered by her loving eyes and soft hands. Her devotion to her faith and love in God was an inspiration to all that met her. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Ethel Duffey and husband of 63 years, L.J. Adams. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Toombs and husband Mark; daughter, Vicki Hallinan; son, Wendell "Keith" Adams; brother, Odell Duffey; sister, Faye Beland; grandchildren, Steven Sims and wife Melissa, Jeffery Hallinan and wife Miriah, Chanel Spaw and fiancé, John Steer, Brian Adams and partner Ashley Franco; great-grandchildren, Sidney, Lydia, Jared, Haley, Jacob, Jonathan and Joshua. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 14, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home. Services will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at 12:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home with Dr. Paul McWherter of Glenwood Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park. Memorial tributes may be placed at www.grandviewfunerals.com.
