Margie Marie Allen, 86, of Fort Smith, went to be with the Lord, January 13, 2013 in Fort Smith. She was born May 31, 1926 in the Bond Special community to Manuel and Stella Dotson Pence. She was a retired seamstress and was of the Baptist faith. She married her high school sweetheart, Alfred, in 1942. They spent almost 60 years happily together. Their home for most of this was at 3221 Emrich in Fort Smith. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She kept an immaculate house and flower garden. She was a vivacious reader in her later years. She was caring, kind and loving to everyone...
Margie Marie Allen, 86, of Fort Smith, went to be with the Lord, January 13, 2013 in Fort Smith. She was born May 31, 1926 in the Bond Special community to Manuel and Stella Dotson Pence. She was a retired seamstress and was of the Baptist faith. She married her high school sweetheart, Alfred, in 1942. They spent almost 60 years happily together. She kept an immaculate house and flower garden. She was a vivacious reader in her later years. She was caring, kind and loving to everyone and will be greatly missed. She is survived by two daughters, Ima Kersh, and husband Harold of Hackett, AR and Gayle Kersh, and husband Danny of Lavaca; one son, Wayne Allen and wife Debbie of Fort Smith; one brother, Floyd Pence and wife Jean of Barling, AR; a sister, Anna Pearl Cole of Stigler, OK; a sister in law, Juanita Pence of Fort Smith; five grandchildren, Jimmie Kersh and wife Anita, Darryl Kersh and wife Julie, Eugene Kersh and wife Sharon, Brian Kersh and wife Jill and Nathan Allen and wife Jamie, as well as 12 great grand children. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Allen and two brothers, Robert and Garland Pence. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 10:00 AM in Woodlawn Memorial Park Chapel with Pastor Jimmie Kersh officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday, January 18, 2013 from 5:00-7:00PM at Edwards Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Joshua, Allen, Eugene and Darryl Kersh and Nathan Allen.
