Margie Dozier – Tomei, 83 of Boiling Spring Lakes, passed away on September 18, 2015 at Dosher Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Tomei was born September 11, 1932 in Sampson County to the late Norene Royal.
Margie was a strong Christian woman who put her full faith in her Lord and Savior and trusted on Jesus for everything. She was raised in Sampson County and moved to Brunswick County in 1970. Margie retired from Sunny Point Military Ocean Terminal after 24 years as a budget analyst. She was very active at Mill Creek Baptist Church, was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles, playing the piano and volunteering with the Boiling Spring Lakes Garden Club. Most importantly Margie held strong family values and the joy of her life was her grand and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband John Francis Dozier, her second husband John P. Tomei, a brother Junious "Sam" Royal, and two sisters Mavourneen "Tience" Burke and Nadene Henning.
Survivors include daughter Angela Bolduc and husband Joe of Boiling Spring Lakes, two step daugheters, Teresa Ruane and husband Brian, and Margaret McCurnin and husband Rich all of New Jersey; a brother H.B. Royal and wife Pat of Washington, DC; two grandsons Brian C. McCall and wife Stacey Alewine and Kevin A. McCall; a step-grandson Richmond McCurnin; a step-granddaughter Jackie McCurnin; three great-grandchildren Andrew, Aedan, Ashlynne; many nieces, nephews, and all who she truly loved and adored.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 23rd from 6 – 8 pm at Peacock – Newnam & White Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 3 pm on Thursday, September 24th at Mill Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Jack Edge officiating. Burial will be in the Raleigh National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 55 W. Wacker Drive, Suite 1150, Chicago, IL 60601.
