Marguerite Mary (Holmes) Conroy, 86 passed away peacefully at her home on May 2, 2013. She was the devoted wife of the late John S. Conroy for 43 years and is survived by seven children and thirteen grandchildren. A sister, brother and many nieces and nephews also survive her. She leaves her sons John S. Conroy Jr. with grandsons Timothy and Jeffery; Mark T. Conroy and his wife Diane, grandchildren Meghan and Paul; Richard G. Conroy; Paul J. Conroy and his wife Victoria, grandchildren Catie, Thomas, and Marguerite; Frank A. Conroy and his wife Denise, grandchildren Christopher, Shaylyn and Taryn; Vincent P. Conroy and his wife...
Marguerite Mary (Holmes) Conroy, 86 passed away peacefully at her home on May 2, 2013. She was the devoted wife of the late John S. Conroy for 43 years and is survived by seven children and thirteen grandchildren. A sister, brother and many nieces and nephews also survive her.

She leaves her sons John S. Conroy Jr. with grandsons Timothy and Jeffery; Mark T. Conroy and his wife Diane, grandchildren Meghan and Paul; Richard G. Conroy; Paul J. Conroy and his wife Victoria, grandchildren Catie, Thomas, and Marguerite; Frank A. Conroy and his wife Denise, grandchildren Christopher, Shaylyn and Taryn; Vincent P. Conroy and his wife Darlene, grandchild Gabrielle; and her daughter Marguerite H. (Conroy) Quinn and her husband Daniel, grandchildren Katie and Gabrielle. She is survived by her sister Kathleen (Mrs. Robert) Hannigan and brother John C. Holmes. She was preceded in passing by her sisters Marie (Mrs. John) Murphy, and Eleanor (Mrs. Robert) O'Hara.

Marguerite had a strong faith in God and dedicated much of her time to community service. She was honored with the Marian Award from the Diocese of Fall River; the Saint Joseph Award from Corpus Christi Parish, Sandwich; and the Top Hat Award from the Society of St. Vincent DePaul. Her family was her pride and joy. She was an amazing person full of love, compassion, patience and strength. She was truly an inspiration to many. She left us with unforgettable memories that will live forever in our hearts.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Church, 324 Quaker Meeting House Road, East Sandwich, MA on Friday May 10 at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you pass on a random act of kindness (Marguerite's request). Donations may be made in memory of Marguerite Conroy to the Society of St. Vincent DePaul Mission Church, 1545 Tremont St, Boston, MA 02120.
