Maria "Pat" Acedo, 75, passed away peacefully on January 16th surrounded by her family and friends at her home in Glendale. She is survived by her daughter Cathy Avalos (Fred), her son Joseph Acedo (Margarita), her 5 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, her 4 brothers Joseph B. Ortega (Barbara), Ruben B. Ortega (Sandy), Rudy B. Ortega (Mary Jane), Epifanio B. Ortega, JR. (Nancy) and 2 sisters, Nellie B. Moreno (Arnold), and Betty Ann Ulloa (Sal). Pat is preceded in death by her Father Epifanio, Mother Clara, husband Billy, son BJ, grandson Eric and Niece Elizabeth "Buffy". A Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm on Monday, January 23rd at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 N. 59th Ave. Glendale, Arizona. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 24th at St. Helen Catholic Church, 5510 W. Cholla St. Glendale, Arizona. Interment will follow at Glendale Memorial Park. Cathy, Tia Nellie, and all the family. I am so sorry to hear of your mom/sister passing. I remember your mom always being very nice to me when I was young and came to hang out at your home, and even spend the night. She took me and Cathy to have our hair done for our 8th grade graduation. First time I had ever had my hair done by anyone other than my dad. It was a very nice day because of her!
