Maria Gloria Matanzas was born was born in Spain to her parents Emilio and Anastasia Garcia on November 25, 1928. She died suddenly in Livonia, Michigan on November 6, 2012.
Maria was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Lorenzo and her daughter Marie Nance. She is survived by her son Jose (Diane) Matanzas and her daughter Virginia (Robert) Perry. She is the loving grandmother to Joel, Kristofer, Sherri, Connie, Jonathan, Andrew, Michael and six great grandchildren.
Friends may visit Maria's family during a visitation in her honor on Thursday November 8, 2012 from 3 pm until 9 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 25450 Plymouth Road in Redford, Michigan 48239. Her funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 10 am on Friday November 9, 2012. The funeral home is located on the north side of Plymouth Road, between Telegraph and Beech Daly Roads.
She will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, Michigan.
Her family asks that memorials be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Met you briefly at the shower and the graduation party, you had an amazing spark. You transferred that spark to your family and they will carry it forever.
