Marie Theresa Anderson (Naseef), 91, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away at Peachtree Hospice on Wednesday, January 18th, with her daughter and son-in-law by her side. Marie was born July 25, 1920, in Kewanee, Illinois to Michael and Mary (Nimer) Naseef. She was a beautician and homemaker. She was also a member of the Laureate Alpha Eta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and a former member of St. Edward Mercy Auxiliary; Welcome Neighbor and the Dervish Dance Club.
Marie was a long time member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Anderson; their daughter, Helen Marie; her first husband Julius Kazlowski; her parents Mike and Mary; four brothers, Nathan, Camile, Edward, and Michael Naseef; three sisters, Rose Cantrell, Florence Naseef, and Helen Iacono.
She is survived by her daughter Katy (Kazlowski) DeJaeger and son-in-law Kyle DeJaeger of Fort Smith, AR; two granddaughters, Kellee Gilmour (husband Ryan) of Frisco, TX, and Kimberly Genuardi (husband Matt) of Doylestown, PA, and three great-grandchildren, Caleb, Teddy, and Jillian.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 23, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Fort Smith with Father Jon McDougal officiating. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 22, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with rosary being prayed at 5:30 p.m. at Fentress Funeral Home, 1805 North A Street. Interment will be held at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Kewanee, Illinois at a later date.
Pallbearers will be Katy and Kyle DeJaeger, Kellee and Ryan Gilmour and Kimmy and Matt Genuardi.
