Obituary

Marie K. Bahler age 94, of Napoleon passed away peacefully at the Lutheran Home, on Tuesday October 23, 2012. Marie was born on November 26, 1917 to Franklin H. Gerken and Katherine (Damman) Gerken. She married Leonard F. Bahler on May 21, 1947 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Toledo Ohio with Rev. Walter Pasche officiating. Marie was a hardworking wife with her husband Leonard who was a farmer. She loved gardening and sewing. Marie is survived by her son David (Marilyn) Bahler of Perrysburg. Her grandsons Daniel (Elizabeth) Bahler of Columbus and Michael Bahler of Columbus. Marie K. Bahler age 94, of Napoleon passed away peacefully at the Lutheran Home, on Tuesday October 23, 2012. Marie was born on November 26, 1917 to Franklin H. Gerken and Katherine (Damman) Gerken. Marie was a hardworking wife with her husband Leonard who was a farmer. She loved gardening and sewing.

Marie is survived by her son David (Marilyn) Bahler of Perrysburg. Her grandsons Daniel (Elizabeth) Bahler of Columbus and Michael Bahler of Columbus. She is also survived by her brothers Martin (Beverly) Gerken of Wauseon and Henry (Joann) Gerken of Defiance; sisters Dorothy Drewes of Hamler and Katherine Alexander of Napoleon.

Marie is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Leonard F and infant son Daniel Bahler; also preceded in death by her parents Franklin and Katherine Gerken; Brother Frederick Gerken, sister Sadonna Williams and brother Frank Gerken.

The family would like to thank the Lutheran Home for their loving care of Marie, also Dr. Tim Mattison and Henry County Hospice.


Funeral Service will be held 10:00 Friday October 26, 2012 at St. Paul Lutheran Evangelical Church Flatrock Twp. OH. Friends may call at the Snyder Wesche Funeral Home Napoleon, Ohio on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family requests donations be made to: St Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Henry County Hospice or the Lutheran Home.
