Marilee Cleland Blackledge, 81, of Greensburg, passed away on December 2, 2011. She was born on August 26, 1930 in Decatur County, IN the daughter of Benjamin Morton and Amelia Cleland. She was a 1948 graduate of Sandusky High School. On October 25, 1955 she married John W. Blackledge in Letts, IN. Marilee was a homemaker and attended the 1st Church of God.
Survivors include: Husband- John W. Blackledge of Greensburg, Daughter-Susan (Gordon) Burgess of Greensburg, Step-Son- Ronnie (Cheryl) Blackledge of Oconomowoc, WI, Grandchildren- Hillary (Shilo) Shrader of Greensburg, Stephanie Burgess of Austin, TX, Jenni (Paul) Jumes, of North Carolina, Valerie (Mark) Lorenz, and Chris (Erica) Blackledge both of St. Paul, MN, Great Grandchildren- Madeline, Adrien, and Liam Shrader, Preston and Teagan Lorenz, Meghan and Erin Jumes, and Darby Blackledge, Brother Arthur (Carolyn) Cleland of Milroy. She was preceded in death by: Mother- Amelia Lauer Cleland, Father- Morton Cleland, Son- John Michael Blackledge, Sister- Imogene Davis, Brothers- Merrill Cleland, Lester Cleland, and Walter Cleland.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland- Howe Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Gilliland-Howe on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. John Mattern will be officiating. Burial will follow at the South Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
