Marilyn "Mickey" Joyce Bobbitt, 83, of Rock Island, passed away Friday, June 7, 2013 at her home. Memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Hodgson Funeral Home, Rock Island. Per her wishes cremation rites were accorded. Inurnment will take place privately at a later date at Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Rock Island. Marilyn was born on October 28, 1929 in Moline, the daughter of Alfred and Augusta (Nienkark) Rogiers. She married Louis Wilfred Bobbitt on December 16, 1988, in Dennison, Iowa.

Marilyn was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Rock Island. She was an avid story teller who cared deeply for her many families that she helped raise.

Three Nieces with great husbands, Sharon (Roger) Kirkhove, Debra (Todd) Slothower, and Michele (Pete) Doyle,and four precious grand-nieces, Hannah and Sarah of Moline, and Caelan and Kiera of Chicago
Three Spiritual Grandchildren William (Teresa) Offutt, and Teresa's brother, Todd Hester

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a granddaughter.
