Obituary

After a brief illness, Marilyn Aronowitz died at the age of 79 in Foley,Alabama. A native life-long resident of New Orleans until Hurricane Katrina , Marilyn graduated from Isadore Newman School and attended Newcomb University. She married Julius Aronowitz in 1953, and after raising three children, went on to become a teacher and director of the nursery school at Temple Sinai. Marilyn was active in a number of Jewish organizations and did volunteer work with the Audubon Park Zoo Mobile and "Six on your Side". friends. The daughter of the late Betty and Louis Berlot, beloved wife of the late Yudi Aronowitz. Marilyn is survived by her three children, Alexis, Jay and Andree, grandchildren, Jason, Tony, Shavon, Jeboa and Jenna, and great-grandchildren Jaide and Dakota. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Graveside Service on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 12:00 noon in Ahavas Sholem Cemetery, 4400 Elysian Fields, New Orleans.
