Long time Lancaster resident Marilyn Louise Mann passed away March 16, 2013 in Las Vegas, NV. Born January 9, 1925 to George Karney and Lois Cain Karney in Corona, Ca. Marilyn was raised in Corona and graduated from Corona Senior High School in 1942. After graduation she worked at March AFB and married Steve in 1944 in Corona. Steve was in the original Army Air Corp and then the Air Force. During their marriage the military took them on various travels. Those travels ended at Edwards AFB, where Steve retired and they moved to Lancaster. Marilyn and Steve were members of the AVCC and active with the ELKS Lodge in Lancaster. Marilyn is...
Long time Lancaster resident Marilyn Louise Mann passed away March 16, 2013 in Las Vegas, NV.
Born January 9, 1925 to George Karney and Lois Cain Karney in Corona, Ca. Marilyn was raised in Corona and graduated from Corona Senior High School in 1942. After graduation she worked at March AFB and married Steve in 1944 in Corona.
Steve was in the original Army Air Corp and then the Air Force. During their marriage the military took them on various travels. Those travels ended at Edwards AFB, where Steve retired and they moved to Lancaster. Marilyn and Steve were members of the AVCC and active with the ELKS Lodge in Lancaster.
Marilyn is preceded in death by Steve in 2001.
She is survived by son Michael S Mann and wife Patricia of Palmdale, daughter Lynn Mann Douglas and husband Gordon of Las Vegas. Grandchildren: Stephen E Mann and wife Alison of Alta Loma, CA; Gerri Lynn Mann of Palm dale, CA; Megan Mann Perez and husband Timothy of Santa Clarita, CA; Jennifer Douglas Balden and husband Erick of Las Vegas, NV. Great Grandchildren Jacob Mann and Isaac Balden. Viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with Graveside services at 10:45 a.m. all being held at Joshua Memorial Park and Mortuary on Saturday March 30, 2013
