Mario Caldarella, 90, of Hoffman Estates, passed away on September 28, 2013 at Journeycare in Barrington. He was born on January 9, 1923 in Chicago to Joseph and Mary Boun Giovanni Caldarella. He married Gertrude Bravieri in Chicago on June 19, 1948 and she preceded him in death on April 28, 2012. He was also preceded in death by his brother Angelo.He is survived by his son James (Christie nee Mack) Caldarella of Crystal lake, his daughter Cynthia (Ferman Raleigh Jr.) Caldarella of Des Plains, and his beloved nephew and niece Paul Caldarella and Susan Carley. Mario was a US Army Air Corp Veteran and upon his discharge began working for The William Wrigley Company retiring as production manager. Mr. Caldarella was a devout Christian who put others before himself, he dedicated his life to serving his Lord and the example he set will live on. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Friday October 4, 2013 at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 W. Belmont Ave, in Chicago, with burial to follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 3:30pm-9:00pm Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to The Animal House Shelter in Huntley.

I feel blessed to have known Mario & Trudy- they were both very loving to me and I really enjoyed seeing how much they loved each other. They were an incredible PAIR. I pray for them to be together again.
