Mario Rene was born on February 25, 1954, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Jose H. Lozano and Petra Lozano. His family moved to Stafford during his childhood years where he attended Fort Bend ISD and graduated from John Foster Dulles High School in 1973. Later he worked for the Fort Bend Constable's Office Precinct 1 until he accepted a position with the HISD police department where he excelled and served as police captain until his retirement.
Mario Rene loved Christmas giving, especially participating in toy drives and delivering toys and gifts to children in need. He loved making people laugh, anything John Wayne, old western movies, and trail riding with Los Vaqueros Trail Riders of Fort Bend in particular, where he even served as a past trail boss.
