Lassiter, Marion Elizabeth, 91, went to be with her Lord on October 14, 2016. She joined her husband of 66 years, Woodard, “Woody” Lassiter and her daughter, Margy Ward in heaven. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Brown; son-in-law, Al Ward; grandchildren, Matthew Brown, Carlene Barbeau (Sean) and Amanda Rigby (James); great-grandchildren, Annelle Rigby, Zachary Barbeau and Wesley Barbeau. Marion was born in Canada and came to the USA as a child and became a proud citizen and armed service wife. She met and married her soul mate and they resided in Tampa most of their lives. Marion was very artistic and was an extremely talented seamstress. She enjoyed fashion, use of colors, and her bold accessories. She enjoyed her coffee, traveling, cruise ships, shelling at Sanibel Island and the mountains of Georgia in the fall, but her greatest loves were Jesus and her family. The greatest legacy that she leaves behind is her service of others. As a devout Christian, Marion had the gift of being a warm hostess. Marion had a very special place in her heart for shut-ins and those with disabilities. A gathering with will be held at 10:00am at St. James United Methodist Church, 16202 Bruce B Downs Blvd., Tampa, FL on Wednesday, October 19th, with a service to follow at 10:30am. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery at 2:30pm. Words of endearment for the family may be shared at www.BlountCurryCarrollwood.com

Marion came to many luncheons with the Faith Class of Idlewild and we always enjoyed seeing and talking with her. I loved the pictures of her with Woody and many old Idlewild members. She is always a part of us.
