Obituary

Marjorie E. Duffield, 60, of Medina, NY, entered into rest on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Medina Memorial Hospital. Born on November 19, 1952, in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late John O. and Marjorie E. (Rodney) Herring. Marjorie graduated from Lyndonville High School in 1970. She married David Duffield I, on May 20, 1970, together raising two children. Besides being a full- time mom, she was employed with the former Dobbins Fruit Packing of Lyndonville. In 1999, she moved to Wellsville and returned to Lyndonville in 2012. She enjoyed gardening and feeding any stray animal that came to the house. She is survived by her...
Marjorie E. Duffield, 60, of Medina, NY, entered into rest on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Medina Memorial Hospital.

Born on November 19, 1952, in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late John O. and Marjorie E. (Rodney) Herring.

Marjorie graduated from Lyndonville High School in 1970. She married David Duffield I, on May 20, 1970, together raising two children. Besides being a full- time mom, she was employed with the former Dobbins Fruit Packing of Lyndonville. In 1999, she moved to Wellsville and returned to Lyndonville in 2012. She enjoyed gardening and feeding any stray animal that came to the house.
She is survived by her son: David (Fiancée, Teri Lester) Duffield II of Sodus Point, NY; a daughter, Laura Duffield of Medina; eight grandchildren, David III; Christopher John; Lillian; Maria; Melinda; Meagian; Lisa Marie; Emily and a great-granddaughter, Jade; siblings; Barbara Farrell of Medina; Donald (Deanne) Herring of Lyndonville and several nieces and nephews and a special friend, James Schrader of Medina and her dog, Skunker Boy.

She is predeceased by two brothers; John and Roger Herring.

Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the Bates & Tuttle Funeral Home, 112 N. Main St. Lyndonville, from 10 AM- 12 NOON, with a funeral service at 12 NOON, with the Rev. Roy Harriger officiating. Burial will be in the Lynhaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Marjorie's name to: Humane Society of Greater Rochester, 99 Victor Rd. Fairport, NY 14450.
