Marjorie Ann "Marge" (Doucette) Hollis, of Sandwich, passed Friday the 17th of November, 2017 at Cape Heritage. She was the loving wife of Norman R. Hollis.

She was born in Malden, MA, a daughter of the late Theodore J. and Louise (Boutchie) Doucette. As a child she lived in Malden, Ma with her sister Kay and brothers Ted and Tom.
Marge's working life was in insurance secretarial, and administrative assistant at Digital Equipment Corp.
As an adult, she enjoyed numerous trips to England with her husband Norman and enjoyed sailing on Cape Cod Bay as well as in the Caribbean. Marge played the piano often accompanying Norman playing the tenor recorder. She was an excellent dancer enjoying ballroom, square, round, and occasionally line dancing.

Marge started motorcycling by riding as a passenger on a dirt bike in the deserts of California. Later on, she graduated to taking road trips to Nova Scotia and Georgia on a Norton.

They had a cottage in Sandwich, MA which they rebuilt as a family home when they retired. She loved the Sandwich Beach with her grandchildren by her side collecting "treasures." Marge had a large family and loved the children, fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Having a big family, a lot of fun time was spent in the kitchen baking for many.

Marge had a great circle of close friends, but was a friend to all. With her close friends she played cards and dominoes while enjoyed a small tipple of Shiraz. They also created many "treasures" for the church fairs. She headed up the church visitation group for a few years and also served as a Deacon.

Besides her husband she is survived by her children, Diane Chester and her husband Donald of Woodlawn, TN, Kevin Hussey and his wife Debbie of Truckee, CA, Steven Hussey and his wife Susan of Poland, ME, Russel J. Hollis and his wife Helen of Marlboro, MA, Joan Goddu and her husband Daniel of Deering, NH, Susan Broom and her husband Martin of Sutton Surrey, England, David Hussey and his wife Carolyn of Marlboro, MA, "adopted" daughter Diane Northeast of Ewell Surrey, England; siblings, Katherine "Kay" Jedrey of Lake Havasu City, AZ and Thomas "Tom" Doucette of Saugus, MA. She was also the wife of the late John Francis Hussey and sister of the late Theodore Doucette.

A visitation with the family will be held on Friday, December 1st, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm in the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home located at 154 Route 6A in Sandwich, Massachusetts.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her FUneral Service on Saturday, December 2nd, 2017 at 11:00am in the First Church in Sandwich located on 136 Main Street.
