She also enjoyed golf, her sewing circle friends, her Sunday school class and her garden club. She was a member of Springhill Baptist Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Her survivors include Bert, her husband of 69 years, and her children, Bert W. Milling, Jr. (Pris), of Battles Wharf, Stephen Russell Milling, Michael Philip Milling (Deborah), and Anne Marie Sims, of Mobile, and James Patrick Milling (Julie) of Hood River Valley, Oregon; her grandchildren, Brooks Pitman Milling, Sr. (Sydney), Jeremy Bacon Milling, Sr. (Myrtle), Maran M. Margie is also survived by her sister, Barbara Smith Miles (Harold), of Anderson, Indiana, and Bert's sister and her husband, Ellen and John Thomas "J.T." Arendall, Sr., of Mobile. She was predeceased by her brother Philip Russell Smith and his wife Shirley Smith, by Bert's brother Robert James Milling, Jr. and his wife Sofie Milling, and by her first grandchild, Bert W. "Trey" Milling, III.
Margie's family wishes to express its gratitude to her caregivers, particularly Demetrius McNish and his staff at Health Care Intervention and the nurses and staff of Odyssey Hospice.
