Marlene " Moody" Frances Bradley, nee Keyton, 74, of Harrisonburg, Va., formerly of Pasadena, MD. passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017, surrounded by her family at Sentara RMH Health Campus.
Mrs. Bradley was born, May 31, 1943, in Hanover Maryland; she was the fourth child out of ten children, and was the daughter of the late Virgil L. and Rita Lambert Keyton. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Lori Ann Bradley.
Marlene grew up in Hanover MD and enjoyed being a teenager in the 1950's. Her favorites were movies and music features of Elvis Presley. After Marlene's mother passed in 1956 she spent much of her time caring for her brothers and sisters. At age 17, she moved to Hartville, OH and lived with her Aunt Vangie and Uncle Dwayne, developing a lifelong and close friendship with her cousin, Nancy.
After graduating from Lake High School in Hartville, she moved back to Hanover, MD., and met the love of her life; Frank Bradley, and they were married on November 16, 1963.
In addition to her husband of 53 years, Frank Bradley, she is also survived by; brothers, Virgil "Rick" Keyton and Larry Keyton; sisters, Joyce Iner, Nadine Bergeron, Karen Escavage and Sherry Bridges; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews that she helped care for and raise as if they were her own. She loved her family and did not miss the opportunity to express this with them. She touched the hearts of many and will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at 3 p.m., at Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisonburg, with Pastor Sonny Hinkle officiating.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc., 7250 Washington Boulevard, Elkridge, MD 21075 (exit 6 off Rt. 100 south) on Monday from 6 to 8 pm where a Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 11:00 am. Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park.
