Marlene G. Stone, 80, passed away November 27, 2016. She was born March 10, 1936 in Franklin County, Illinois and resided in Orange Park, Florida. Marlene was a loving wife and wonderful mother who loved her family with all her heart. She had a strong belief in the Lord and knew the Bible like the back of her hand. She enjoyed singing in the choir and to her family members too. Mrs. Stone is survived by her husband; Lloyd I. Stone, son; Steven Stone, daughters; Rhonda Barlow (Allen) and Rochelle Spradley, grandchildren; David Corey Gernhard, Jeffery Spradley, Bryan Gernhard, Emily Spradley, Billy Carlson, Naomi Carlson, Sarah Spradley, Aaron Sluder, and Jennifer Pierotti and great grandchildren; Logan Sluder, Julia Pierotti, Mason Gernhard and Ella Gernhard. A visitation will be held 6-8 PM Wednesday and funeral service is 10 AM Thursday December 1, 2016 at HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Blanding Blvd Orange Park,Florida 32073 Interment will follow at Jacksonville Memory Gardens, 111 Blanding Blvd Orange Park, Florida 32073. I wish I was able to meet Mrs. Stone!! Just hearing Steve talk about his mom was enough to know she was a very sweet woman, that loved her kids and family with all her heart!! Sorry I could not be there, but praying that you and the family, have on each and everyone of you, just knowing your mom can look down on each and everyone of us that had the love to no her. I no that your mom was one of the kindest persons I have every known.
