Marsha Saperstein of Charlotte passed away on March 24, 2014.
She was born December 16, 1936 in the Bronx, NY to Beatrice and Sam Halem. Marsha married her childhood sweetheart, Joel Saperstein in 1956, one week after he returned from serving in the U.S. Army. She entered the workforce after moving to Charlotte in 1977 – first as a bookkeeper, then as an accountant and later as a controller. Marsha retired at the age of 72.
She was a lady in every sense of the word. She loved her family; she loved her friends and she loved to laugh. Marsha will always be remembered with a smile on her face. She was a much loved wife, mother and grandmother.
Marsha's life is being celebrated by her family; her loving husband of 58 years, Joel Saperstein; son, Scott Saperstein and his wife Elissa and their son, Larry; son, Glenn Saperstein; son, Dean Saperstein and daughter, Shelli Hartsell and her husband, James.
Her dream was to educate each child, send them to college, give them a car and a bank account. She accomplished it all.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Marsha's memory to Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region, 1420 East Seventh St., Charlotte, NC 28204, www.donatehospice.org
