My many memories of Marshall are always the love he had for my parents, sister and I.Marshall's parents raised my father as their own and he was always "uncle" to me. Marshall always made me fell I was the most special person in the world.I lost contact with him in later years but have always kept him in my thoughts. Rest easy big man...You are missed.

I met Marshall 44 years ago when we were neighbors in an apartment building in Everett. Even though we both moved from there we remained good friends for the rest of his life, seeing each other often and always keeping up with each other's life.
He had a genuine love for people, had a very outgoing, pleasant personality but yet remained humble, had a big smile for everyone he met, and was always the optimist. He had "The Optimist's Creed" on his wall for as long as I knew him and people often asked him how he aquired such a wonderful, positive attitude about life. His answer was always the same - "I was blessed with wonderful parents." He refused to worry and in all those years I never saw him moody, upset, angry, or unkind. He was truly a gentle soul and I greatly admired him.
I learned so much from him about being optimistic, being grateful for good health and what you have, accepting people as they are, and taking life as it comes. I will always keep a little bit of him tucked away in my heart for as long as I live.
The world has lost a great man and is a better place because he was a part of it. I feel a very deep loss.
Rest in peace, Marshall. It was a job well done.

I remember Mr. Ritchie as the warmest person when I met him as a little girl. He was friends with my step Dad Reg Robson. I actually enjoyed going out to lunch with my parents when I knew he would be joining us. My condolences to his family and other loved ones. -Karissa Bresheare

To Marshall's family:
I met Marshall in the early 1970's. My (then) husband, Reg Robson, Marshall and Vic Curran started the Racket Club in Everett on 128th.
Marshall was one of the nicest men I knew back then. He never uttered a bad word about anyone. I remember a tall, good looking man with a big smile. My husband, young daughter and I went to lunch often with Marshall.
I've thought of him often and was saddened to see his obituary in todays paper.
My thoughts are with his family during this time of sadness. The world was a better place for knowing Marshall.
God Bless.
