Marshall Gene Webb passed away on Sunday, the 1st of September 2013.

Marshall was born in Dallas on the 19th of December 1942. He was a graduate of Bryan Adams High School before attending the University of Texas at Austin and SMU. He and his family moved to Houston in 1971 due to a job transfer with Peat Marwick Mitchell. Marshall earned his CPA certificate in 1974.

A well-respected Houston business man, Marshall was active in the temporary staffing, technology and financial industries during his long career. He also held positions on the board of directors at several leading companies. He was the recipient of many awards and commendations for his work across the state of Texas. Marshall also found time to coach football for the SBMSA.

While successful in the business world, Marshall's greatest pride was his family. Marshall and Nancy began their life journey when they met at the ages of 12 and 11 respectively. Playing softball led to romance culminating in nearly 52 years of marriage. They have two sons and a daughter. The children gave him great joy and grandchildren who loved their "Grumps."

In addition to his family, Marshall has forged relationships with many close friends who will certainly miss his humor, work ethic and advice.

Marshall was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Inez Webb; and younger brother, Lynn Webb.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy; son, Rusty and wife, Debbie of Red Oak, Texas; son, Brian and wife, Denisa of London, England; daughter, Casey Gill and husband, Chris of Dubai, UAE; and brother, Stephen and wife, Toni of Euless, Texas. He is survived by seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many loving friends.

A memorial service is to be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Wednesday, the 4th of September, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston, where Dr. Linda Christians, Executive Pastor of St. Luke's United Methodist Church, is to officiate.

Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception in the adjacent grand foyer.

In lieu of customary remembrances, the family kindly request that memorial contributions be directed to the TX Parks & Wildlife, 10101 Southwest Fwy., Houston, TX, 77074; or to Ducks Unlimited, Memorial Contributions, 1 Waterfowl Way, Memphis, TN, 38120.

"Marshall was the nicest man I ever knew. He will be missed forever." Robin Kristoff (League City, TX)
