Martha Alene Wilson, 94, passed away November 21, 2016. She was a retired buyer for Goldsmith's Department Store; she was an avid gardener and faithful member of member of Georgian Hills Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Wilson, Jr. and a son, Cullen Tyrone Wilson.
She is survived by her son Ronald Don Wilson; her daughter, Belinda Gail Garlin and her husband Walter Fred Garlin; grandchildren, Stephanie Freeman and Jessica Freeman; four great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Freeman, Carley Freeman, Destiny Cole and Bailey Smith.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 25 from 9-10 am with funeral services to be conducted at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis. Interment will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 10 am at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Memphis.

My grandmother was the best person I know! She is my hero and always will be even while she is in heaven! She taught me so much in life and to fight when I had lost my will to live! She was and is the most wonderful woman!
