Mom, I will always miss you. I miss surprising you with gifts on your birthday and at Christmas time. I enjoyed our visits so many times a week. You would literally light up when I walked through the door. (Forget about the television.) We could talk about the news of LHUMC, and also what was going on in the world. It was easy to get you to laugh. I enjoyed reading books to you at bed time. I would look up, and your eyes would be fixed on my face. You always made me feel special when you looked at my photos. You liked them because you said, "I can tell what you have been doing." The best 8 x 10's went on your refrigerator door. The 5 x 7's went on your shelf out in the hallway so everyone could see them. Later on, I learned that the staff of assisted living was regularly coming up to the second floor to see the latest ones. I loved picking out your clothes for the next day along with some pretty jewelry. So many times, you would say to me "Don't know what I would do without you." I miss you mom and wish I could still come over for a visit. You will always be in my heart, Martha Lu
