Martha Gertrude Mountz, 92, of Mohnton, passed away peacefully January 4, 2018, at home with her family by her side. Martha was predeceased by her husband, LaVerne A. Mountz, on December 3, 1996.
She was born in Mohnton on July 30, 1925, a daughter of the late David and Mabel (Huyett) Hoshauer. Martha was a member of Kissinger's Church.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Judith A. Mountz, widow of Thomas L. Mountz; daughter, Annamae R. and her husband, Rod Painter, all of Mohnton; son, Lyle D. Mountz, of Reading; and daughter Laree P. and her husband, Doug Gottschall, of Mohnton; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Hilda Hyneman and Henrietta Hoshauer, both of Mohnton.
Martha was also predeceased by her daughter, Rosemary H. Schweitzer in 2002.
A Memorial service will be Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at 6:30 p.m. in Kissinger's Church, 715 Berkshire Blvd., Wyomissing PA. 19610.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church at the above address in her memory.
