Martha “Koby” Gould, 91, of North Little Rock, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Born May 7, 1926, she was the daughter of the late William and Lorena McGary, of Heber Springs.
Koby married Roger P. Gould in 1946. They enjoyed 55 years of marriage and raised two children, Roger Wade and Sharon Ann. Through the years, Koby enjoyed boating, fishing and camping with her family on Lake Ouachita and later, on the Arkansas River. She belonged to the North Little Rock Women’s Club, Homebuilders’ Association, and Jaycees women’s group, among others. She worked as an operator at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and later worked at the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau. She was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church.
Koby was preceded in death by her husband Roger P. Gould, son Roger Wade Gould, sister Mary Lou Long, and brothers Mike McGary and Frank McGary. She is survived by her daughter Sharon Hermes (Wayne) of Durango, Colorado; sister Maxine Ramage of Little Rock; brothers Pat McGary of Heber Springs, and Jerry McGary of Fort Smith; grandson Jacob Hermes of Tucson, Arizona; and granddaughter Ashley Hermes of Denver, Colorado.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Rest Hills, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock. A celebration of life and interment will be held on Monday, September 18 at 10:00 a.m. also at that location.
Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock.
