August 7, 1938- August 19, 2019

Martha Sue Preston was one of ten children born to the late John and Arrie Green on Sunday August 7, 1938 in Banks, Arkansas.

Martha confessed her love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at an early age and united with Oaklone A. M.E. Church in Banks, Arkansas. She later joined with Mt. Sinai Recruiting Ministries in Las Vegas, Nevada, under the leadership of Dr. S.S. Rogers.

Martha received her education through the Hermitage Public School District in Hermitage, Arkansas.

Martha met and married Joe Louis Preston in 1956 in Banks, Arkansas. They remained united in matrimony until the passing of Joe Louis on September 16, 2018.

In 1962, Martha and Joe moved the family to Las Vegas, Nevada where Martha gained employment with the Riviera Hotel and Casino. In 1978 looking for a change, Martha accepted a position with the Clark County School District working in the central kitchen preparing meals and lunches. She later transferred into the operations department, becoming a custodian until retirement after 23 years of service. After retirement Martha's favorite past time was cooking and playing spades.

She is now reunited with her husband of 62 years, Joe Louis Preston. Both of her parents John and Arrie Green, daughter Joreen Preston-Scott and son, Ray Charles Preston and four brothers, Lee Morris Green, George Edward Green, J.B. Green and Mike Green.

She leaves to cherish her precious and kind memories, five sons Lorenzo (Mae Dell), Jerry (Cynthia), Harvey, Billy and Joseph Preston all of Las Vegas, Nevada, one (daughter) granddaughter Shantae Preston, one sister Joyce Williams of Warren, Arkansas, four brothers Sherman and Roger Green both of Warren, Arkansas, Willie (Bea) and Bobby (Violet) Green both of Las Vegas, Nevada, twenty-five grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
