We live in Martin's neighborhood and just realized he had passed away. We knew something was wrong when we did not see him go by our house walking his beloved dog. He always had a smile and he is surely missed.

Martin was a kind and caring man with that Southern subtlety that often disguised his generous gesture and intelligent guidance with a humurous delivery and understated wit. An entrepreneur, a fixer and a friend who bought my junker from behind the GT reactor before I got fired - bless this man!

Richard and I are so sorry for your loss. We had lost touch with Jr. after your mom died but never stopped thinking of him. We came for her funeral and met you kids. Thank you for getting in touch with us.

Dear Martin, What a difference you made in so many lives. One of the very few people love by all; respected by all; made everyone better around you. I respected you from day one. May you rest in peace. I will be talking to you soon when I visit the cemetery. Oliver Kingsley

I began my Health Physics career with Martin as my manager and mentor. I learned more practical radiation protection from him due primarily to his commitment to pass on information and to make those who worked with him as good as they could be. I intentionally say "worked with" as opposed to "worked for" because that was how he treated you, as an equal and friend first. I am thankful for the good fortune I had to share him during my early career and to ride to work with him and David Sorrelle in his Impala. God Bless and comfort his family and friends.

My Uncle Mitch was the most intelligent and witty person you ever could meet. He loved all the kids in the family as if they were his own and always made time for us as kids. I know he and my Aunt Sylvia are dancing away in Heaven like they always did at parties. I miss both of them dearly.
