Martin Eubanks Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 18, 2014.

Martin Lee Eubanks
(October 29, 1935 – January 16, 2014)
Eastvale, California

Martin Lee Eubanks was a man of the highest integrity. He was Senior Class President at his high school, served his country in the United States Army, served his community as a police officer, and knew the meaning of 'hard work' from the time he was a young boy growing up on a farm. He showed his talent as a disk jockey and a model; then showed his dedication and determination as he held several managerial positions – sometimes simultaneously – proving himself to be an intelligent, trustworthy, and well-loved man whom others could depend on.
First and foremost, however, Martin Eubanks was a family man. At the mention of his mother or father, sister or brother, wife or children, grandchildren, nieces or nephews, or anyone he loved, Martin's eyes would begin to twinkle. His entire being would begin to shine, and that genuine smile that was uniquely his would light up his face. He made us beef jerky, homemade jams, turquoise jewelry - and he made us feel so very much loved.
Martin possessed a rare, quiet kind of strength. He didn't back down when he knew he was right. Neither did he push a person from their own beliefs. Instead, he led by example. And what a fine example he gave us all. Whenever he was solicited for advice, you knew it would be rock solid, morally sound, and well thought-out. Because, Martin genuinely cared. Without a doubt, Martin valued God and Country, and lived his life accordingly. He also knew the value of a friendly practical joke, engaging in such with impeccable timing and a playful smile.
On January 16, 2014, at the age of 78, Martin Lee Eubanks left this world for a better one. He is survived by his wife, Elda Eubanks of Eastvale, CA; his three sons: Eary, Robert and Martin; two daughters: Jamie and Elda; his sister, Doris Brunenkant, his brother, James Eubanks, eleven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
