Martin Luther "Coot" Kiker, Sr., age 81, of Birdwell Circle, Greeneville, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday afternoon, April 21, 2011. He passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loved ones after a lengthy illness.

He retired from George C. Moore Company after 45 years of dedicated service.

He was a Christian man who loved the Lord and attended Susong Memorial Church.

He was a very loving and supportive husband, father, and grandfather.

He enjoyed golfing and did so as long as his health permitted.

His family loves him and will miss him dearly and will cherish every memory of him. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law: Kathy and Robert Collins, Nancy and Ron Austin, and Barbara Kiker; grandchildren and spouses: Tammy and David Klepper, Eli and Vickie Collins, Tessa Kiker, Kimberly Kesterson, Chad Kesterson, Heather Richards, Rita and Ricky Malone, Kristen Helms Kesterson, Jacqulayne Sloan, Amy Kesterson; great grandchildren: Bethany and Jordan Dotson, Joshua Collins, Mirsadyz Kesterson, Bryce Kesterson, Conner Kesterson, Brayden Kesterson, Samuel Shell, Regan Shell, Brolan Scott, Courtney Metcalf, Taylor Malone, Makayla Malone; great-great granddaughter: Adylie-Alexis Klepper; brother and sister-in-law: J.B. and Louise Kiker; sister and brother-in-law: Frances and Rex Harrison; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Lora Kiker, Lamon "Bud" and Barbara Ricker, John Ricker, Reba and Kay Barnes, and Luella and Terry Cook; and a special "adopted" daughter: Nancy Brobeck.

He was a son of the late Calvin M. and Maude (Holt) Kiker and was preceded in death by his wife of 47 ½ years: Bertha Ricker Kiker; his son: Martin Kiker; grandson: Nicholas Kesterson; sisters : Mabel Lewis and Lillian Taylor; and a brother: Bill Kiker.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2011 in Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Sammy Cutshall and Pastor Jim Bunch officiating.

Interment will follow in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.

His pallbearers will be Eli Collins, Josh Collins, Chad Kesterson, Brayden Kesterson, David Klepper, Jordan Dotson, and Ricky Malone.
