Life Reflections
Marvin Miller Sr. was born in Shreveport Louisiana to the late Morgan Miller and Kattie Belle Richie. Marvin was baptized at Bon-Air Baptist Church at an early age.
Marvin graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in 1973. After graduation he work at Texas Instruments for a year and then joined the Marine Corps. Marvin worked for GWIC home remodeling. During his spare time he worked for K’s Lil Shop helping his Mom design and cutting out cornice boards. He loved watching the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers and fishing. He later worked for Martin Preferred Foods until his death.
Proceeded Marvin in death his children’s mother Vivian Miller. Marvin leaves to cherish his memories to a dedicated wife of five years to Joann Miller; Mother Kattie B Richie and Father Forest G Richie (proceeded him in death); Five Children’s, Armonda Woodson (Autrey), Marvin Miller Jr. (Krystle), Ryan Works, Lakeya Anderson (Glean), Marcus Miller; Nine Grandkids, Terence, Cree, Kaylee, Alyssa, Rauscher, Emmanuel, Cassidy, Carlie, Miyah; 4 Brothers, Mack Miller (Cheryl), Floyd Graham (Lou), Fredrick Miller, Glenn Richie (proceeded him in death); Two Sisters, Melody Richie, Valerie Reagor (Michael); Two Step Sisters, Dorothy Logan (Sam), Emily Ann Parter (Charles); One Step Brother, Larry Miller ( Sheila); Two Brother In Laws, Lejuan White, Dennis Reed (Sammie); One Sister in Law Mary Richards. And a host of nieces and nephews.

I only had the pleasure of meeting Marvin once or twice but he was always very lively and a joy to be around. His suffering has now ended and now it's time for him to rest. I am glad God allowed him to be a great PaPa to Cassidy and Carleigh. Joann may God keep you and the family is my prayers. My sincere condolences to all. RIP Marvin Miller.
