Marvin Anderson, 59, died on Wednesday, January 5, at his home in Elkhart. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, at Ankeny Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Monday, January 10, 2011 at Ankeny Funeral Home with burial at Elkhart Cemetery.
Marvin was born February 19, 1951in Omaha, NE to Wayne and Dorothy Anderson. He lived in Coleridge, NE before moving to Elkhart, IA. Marvin worked for Northway Well and Pump Company in Waukee for over 20 years, and also owned Anderson Well and Pump Company for over ten years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching NASCAR races.
Survivors include his three daughters, Christy (Joe) Gering of Chandler, AZ, Renae Foster of West Des Moines, and Tera Anderson of Ankeny; mother, Dorothy Anderson of Coleridge, NE; grandchildren, Kayla, Hannah, Brennan, Joshua, McKenzie, Desiree, and Deion; brother, Dennis; and sisters, Alice, Sharon, and Sandy. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carol Anderson; father, Wayne Anderson; son, Chad Anderson; and brothers, Dale, David and Roger Anderson.
