i woke up this morning with you and the family on my mind. question...does the reality ever set in that a loved one is no longer here on earth or do you just keep thinking you will wake up soon? Marvin you are truly missed by many, and we know you are in a better place. May God continue to keep the family close.

The news of Marvin's passing came like a penetrating brick wall, stopped me in my tracks. It was too much, too soon. There are no words to soothe the pain of his family, but he loved his family and his family loved him. He was a GOOD friend and I shall long remember his bright and shining person. How sad that I was not able to embrace him beforehand.

I just today was informed that my dear friend Marvin had gone to be with our Lord and Savior. I met Marvin back in 1977 in San Antonio and he was the best. So generous, kind, respectful, fun and was so good to me. In my life he was one of those rare male friendships that just worked and I adored him. I'm remembering his face as I write this and that great smile he had. My sincere condolences to the Edmonds family. I hope knowing how much he touched peoples' lives will bring you great comfort and joy. The world lost one of the good ones---- RIP Marvin!!!!

I met Marvin in 1989 at work in MCI Teleservice in Indy, we were telephone operators together. We both began to move up in the company together and share a very special freindship and I will never forget some of the lessions he taught me. He was a great man who loved to have a good time and helped others, you will be surely missed but not forgotten. God bless you family as they deal with the loss of their loved one! R.I.P. Marvin!

My condolences to Marvin's wife & children & to Barbara, Melvin, Kenny, Kevon, Michael & Derek. I know that their pain is immeasurable & you have my deepest sympathy. I cannot describe the feelings of remorse that I'm feeling now, as Marvin & I were married for 10yrs. A large part of my heart started with him & a deep sadness overwhelms me. So, to his family, I will pray for you all as we all hold on to the memories of Marvin that we have.

I was 18 when I met Marvin in San Antonio, Texas. He was always the life of the party. I remember how he joked about being the only one in his family that couldn't sing or dance. I'm not sure about the singing, but he was right about the dancing, a little. When he left San Antonio, he left a huge whole in the hearts of his friends. I can only imagine how much his family must miss that bright smile. Has it really been over 30 years? Some people you can never forget.
Take care, my friend.
