Marvin D. Edmonds Jr.

June 30, 1952 - July 24, 2011

Marvin Dallas Edmonds Jr. was the first of six sons born to the union of Marvin Dallas Edmonds, Sr. and Barbara Jean O’Bannon-Edmonds. Marvin was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 30th, 1952. Marvin tried to be a grouch when people were around but what made him happiest was when he was in the company of friends and family. A loving husband and dad that adored his daughter and thought she was the most beautiful girl in the world and was a formidable contender in an ongoing wrestling match with his son. He was a concerned advisor to his step-son and was a proud Granddad. He was a good son and the big brother to his siblings. Marvin leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife Michelle, daughter Michelle, son Marvin III, stepson Andrea, four grandchildren, his mother Barbara Jean Edmonds and five brothers Michael, Melvin, Kenny, Kevin, and Derek, his host of nieces and nephews, his mother in law Salathiel Burris-Wells and the entire Burris family and many friends and coworkers. Visitation scheduled Saturday, July 30, 2011 from 4-7p.m., with service on Monday, August 1, 2011 at 11:00a.m., all at Palm Mortuary, 7400 West Cheyenne Avenue, burial to follow at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City at 1:20p.m. Loving husband, doting Dad, devoted Son and loyal friend. Who’s going to BBQ? We miss you.

"Michelle, I am so sorry to hear of Marvin's death. I remember him fondly as a very loyal friend....when we all worked the phones in Indpls. He saved me..."
