Hines, Mary (Marie) 1920-2013 It is with much sorrow and sadness the family announces the passing of Marie Hines on January 8, 2013 at Forest Heights Long Term Care Hospital after a long and hard fight with dementia. Marie was the loving wife of Raymond Hines for 69 years and the loving mother of Sharon Hines of Mississauga, Ontario. She will be sorrowfully missed by her two grandsons, Trevor Hines Duncliffe and Jason Hines Duncliffe who had much love and respect for their grandmother. The feeling was mutual. It is with much sorrow and sadness the family announces the passing of Marie Hines on January 8, 2013 at Forest Heights Long Term Care Hospital after a long and hard fight with dementia. Marie was the loving wife of Raymond Hines for 69 years and the loving mother of Sharon Hines of Mississauga, Ontario. She will be sorrowfully missed by her two grandsons, Trevor Hines Duncliffe and Jason Hines Duncliffe who had much love and respect for their grandmother. The feeling was mutual. Marie will also be missed by Sharon's husband Kenneth Duncliffe. Predeceased by her parents; Steve and Barbara Sholdak of Portage La Prairie, Manitoba and by her two brothers; Michael Sholdak of Portage La Prairie, Manitoba and Reverend John Sholdak of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Throughout her life, Marie had been an extremely active person involved in such things as the stock market, horseracing, the catering industry and many other various hobbies. Even with all this activity she found ample time to be a wonderful wife and loving mother. Friends and family may visit the Ratz Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King Street West, Kitchener on Friday, January 11 from 1:00 -3:00 pm. Service to follow in the chapel at 3:00 pm, with a reception immediately after in the Ratz Bechtel Family Centre. The family wishes to thank the staff at Forest Heights LTC for their loving care, especially Molly and Christine. Condolences for the family may be made in the form of a donation to the Breast Cancer Society of Canada at 1-800-567-8767 or directly through the funeral home.
