Mary became a member of the Mashpee Son's of Italy Lodge in 1984. The Lodge was paramount in her life, until her health prevented her from attending in 2011. Her love and dedication to the lodge led to her election as the first female president. She was reelected twice, serving 3 terms in total. This was one of her proudest accomplishments.

Mary was born and raised in Brookline, MA, "The Point", as it is known to the locals. She pioneered relocating to Cape Cod for her three siblings and their families.

Before Mary ceased working at the approximate age of 76, she was employed by Home Instead as a home health aide. A devout Catholic, Mary was a member of St. John's Church in Pocasset. She became a member of the church's choir and shared her gift of her tenor voice with the congregation.

Diane Park (your loving daughter)

I am consoled by so many wonderful memories but so sad we can not create any more. I will always remember that last sweet gentle kiss and hug. If i'd known it was goodbye I've have never let go. I miss you so much mom. Why did it take me so long to realize how remarkable you were and how lucky I was to be your daughter? I wish it came much sooner, but I am so glad to have had the opportunity to share a wonderful bond and get to know you better in the last decade of your life. You sure had a full rich life, a n d brought many people joy. Even though your illness, to the very end you were fun and funny, and livened up the assisted living and then the nursing home. Even though you were a handful for the staff sometimes, they have told me, they loved you so much and will really miss you. Eveyone should be so lucky to have our good nature and the gifts we shared appreciated and out weigh our foibles. I am swimming in joyful memories and love for you. That is giving me warm and happy feelings, but also making me miss you all the more.

We always have fond and fun memories growing up as her nieces...we used to dance to disco in the late 70's in her basement practicing...as a child I admired your style and laugh along with great food! May you still be dancing and singing.
Sending Love to the Family,

Donald Park

You drove me to the Boston Army base on 3/7/69 when I left for Navy boot camp and you traveled to San Diego some 25 years later to be at my military retirement ceremony, and we had a lot of good times in between. Your home was always open when I visited on leave. You lived to see my children and my three grandchildren. Your life was long and fulfilling. Now you may rest in peace with all of the loved ones who have gone before you.

Donald, Kathy and the whole California gang.
