Sulphur-Mary Alice Lee, age 89, moved to her heavenly home on January 7, 2018 surrounded by her family, at Brookdale Lake Charles Assisted Living Facility.
Mary Alice was a woman who loved God. She taught her family Christian values and the love of family. She was devoted to her husband, J. W. (deceased in 2016) for 67 years. She and J.W. loved to travel with family and with friends all across the United States. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, baking cookies, doing crafts, reading, and playing card games. She and her friends had a sewing group that met weekly and each worked on a variety of projects. She loved flowers and made arrangements for her church sanctuary. She was an accomplished seamstress, making clothes for herself and Sherry and all her grandchildren. Silk pillowcases were a favorite of the girls and were cherished to the point of even going on honeymoons!
