Mary Frank Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 15, 2016.

Mary Ann Frank (Davis) of San Antonio, TX. Passed away peacefully September 14, 2016 in Carrollton, TX surrounded by loved ones.

Beloved wife, mother, grandma, friend, teacher, daughter of God and the kindest, most selfless woman you will ever meet. February 3rd 1946, this world received an amazing gift when Mary Ann Davis was born to her mother Gladys Marie Davis and father Howard Mials Davis Jr. Mary grew up with her three brothers Howard Hagan Davis, William Robert Davis, and Michael Francis Davis. The Davis family moved from San Antonio to Dallas, TX in 1948.

Mary Ann Davis met Clinton Paul Frank via a blind date, setup by mutual friend Ms. Nancy Tweed, on June 10th, 1967. According to Clint, she was not sold on him straight away but he eventually won her over and they were married on April 17th 1968. Together, they built a quiet life, full of love, in Dallas, TX. Their loving family grew with the addition of their three children Paul Howard Frank, Katherine Teresa Frank, and Matthew Christopher Frank.

Paul Howard Frank lives in Carrollton, TX with his wife Beth Frank and his two children, Harrison Mials Frank and Julia Nicole Frank. Katherine Teresa Colaluca lives in Austin, TX with her husband Mark Colaluca and their daughter, Sofia Isabella Colaluca. Matthew Christopher Frank lives in Round Rock, TX with his wife Tracy Lyn Frank and their two children, Emma Lyn Frank and Ethan Christopher Frank.

Mary was her family's rock and was a teacher with CFBISD for more than 35 years. She was dedicated to the success and welfare of each and every student. As smart as she was compassionate, she loved to play jeopardy and scrabble; relishing in her victories over those she played against. Mary was also musically gifted; playing the piano, banjo, guitar, and the accordion. Mary loved to sing and, during conversation, would often spontaneously break out into song. She is also affectionately remembered for her tuneful whistling of hymns at church.

Mary will be greatly missed and heaven is rejoicing with their new angel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to the Lymphoma Association www.lymphomas.org or the Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org.
