I wanted to thank everyone that has left notes for my mother. It means the world to Mark, Cheryl, Nawal and myself.

Can't wait to see mom again.

I love you, Aunt Jo. You always met me and my brother and sister with big hugs and smiles and made us feel like you were very happy to see us. I know that you are enjoying being in heaven with Jesus and Uncle Haywood, and I look forward to seeing you again one day.

Mama Jo was a mother to many. She had a heart of Gold. For years at her store, she let many people get food on credit and she did not care if they never paid her back. She and Pop always had a hot meal ready for her "Boys in Blue" from Lawrenceville Police. She never met a stranger. She loved everyone and was loved by everyone. She loved and was very proud of her son's Jeff and Mark. She was the best "Mama" to me and Ammaw to my children. She will forever be missed. I know she is so happy to be in Heaven with Pop and Justin and most of all Jesus who truly was her Lord and Savior. Rest in Peace Mama Jo. We love you forever!

Mama Jo had a kind word and a big hug and smile for everyone she met. She was always positive, always generous, proud that she was a hard worker, and she loved her family and friends with all her heart. She was a gracious and great lady. I'm happy to have known her.

We loved Aunt Jo! She had a gift of making everyone feel extra special. You always knew she loved you and would go over and beyond to help anyone she met. Of course, no one made "cat head" biscuits like her!

Aunt Jo always had a smile on her face, a kind word to say, and never failed to say that she loved you.

My mother was a generous soul who never met a stranger, always had room in her heart for one more friend and always placed the needs of others before her own needs. She was a joyous soul that loved her husband and missed him terribly since he passed away, loved her sons and held them close in her heart and had so many special friends that she included in her extended family.

It's hard to let her go, but I know she is happy, with God and with her beloved Haywood.
