Mary Diane Lynch

North Chatham. Diane Lynch passed away peacefully at Cape Cod Hospital on July 25th. She is survived by Richard, her husband and best friend for over 40 years, and her daughter Kristyn Meaghan Lynch-Kearney.

Diane was born in Camden, NJ, in 1943 to John P. and Mary M. (Sundstrum) Gryckiewicz. They and her brother Michael predeceased her.

She leaves behind her beloved grandsons, Caelan James and Graysen Hayes Kearney, and her brother and sisters - John Gryckiewicz, Kathleen McCabe, Joann Gryckiewicz, and Theresa Conlon.

Diane was devoted to our daughter's family. DeDe enjoyed a special bond with her first grandson Caelan. She cherished a number of close friends with a daily goal to "do something nice" for someone or persons in need. She would not tolerate any insult or slight. Strong in her convictions and beliefs, life centered on loyalty, respect, honesty and Christian values.

Many knew her talent as a skilled interior designer and sought her advice. She loved fine jewelry and took great pleasure creating unique (and expensive) rings and pendants and then appreciating compliments from strangers. She delighted in special occasions – and there were many- as these required her finding a new and exciting outfit....with new shoes, of course! Always on the lookout for new restaurants, trips were planned to sample their cuisine then employ her culinary talent to duplicate and improve the recipe.

Her business career was distinguished by professionalism, energy, personality and a focus on doing everything the right way; never settling for substandard. She was entrusted with opening new sales offices then recruiting and training the best talent. Superiors and employees knew her as honest, competent and fully trustworthy.

Diane leaves behind many dear friends and acquaintances who knew her for the beautiful, caring person she was. She will be sorely missed by her family and by so many whose lives were enriched by her love and devotion.

We will have Visiting Hours for all who knew Diane and wish to celebrate her life at the Nickerson Funeral Home in Chatham, MA, on September 4th from 5-7PM.

In lieu of flowers, please honor her with a donation to The American Liver Foundation or the Liver Transplantion Unit, Lahey Clinic.

"Dick and Kristyn I am so sorry to hear about your loss. please let me know what what I can do. Jack Tierney"
