Miller, Mary White, 92, of Tampa, went to be with the Lord on May 17, 2017. Born in Halifax County, VA, August 28, 1924, she married Carey Richmond Miller, Jr. in 1943. She was a member of Christ Community Church for over 40 years, and her love for God was evident in her everyday life - always a gracious, Christian, southern lady. She constantly read the Bible and studied from her vast collection of Christian books. Family and friends will always remember Mary's delicious southern cooking. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Carey; brothers: Willie and Carlton White, and sisters: Mildred White, Aline McKay and Ethel Parker. She is survived by her children: son, Carey R. Miller III (Rick) and wife, Flip; daughter Carol D. Phillips and husband, John; grandchildren: Merran Tatum (Phil) of Indianapolis, IN, Benjamin Miller (Abbi) of Round Rock, TX, Amy Fee (Stephen) of Tampa, Anne Echtenkamp (Nick) of Richardson, TX; five great grandchildren; her sister, Peggy Mustain of Danville, VA, and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive visitors at 10:00 AM with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 27, 2017, at Blount and Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Ave. Interment will follow at Myrtle Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Lifepath Hospice 3010 W Azeele St, Tampa, FL 33609.
