Mrs. Mary Frances Elder, age 89 of Griffin, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Brightmoor Hospice.

Mrs. Elder was born June 21, 1927, daughter of the late Rev. J.W. & Emily Davis Hogan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Elder and several brothers & sisters. Mrs. Elder was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Mrs. Elder is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Karen & David Betsill; sons & daughters-in-law, Kenneth & Vickie Elder and David & Rhonda Elder; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Frances Elder will be held Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Griffin Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Friday, October 14, 2016 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Mrs. Elder.
