Dear Nicole, Steve, Judy and Audrey,
I am so blessed to be part of your family for the last 40 years, being married to Steve. Jane always accepted me as part of the family and I am grateful for that.
I am happy that I was able to attend and participate in her service. I played a couple of songs in her memory, one of which I arranged myself however, due to copyright laws I am unable to post them here.
One of her favorite hymns was "In the Garden" so that was played.
I arranged a medley of "Jesus Loves Me" and "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen and played that as well. I'm disappointed that they can't be shared here. Perhaps I can send them in a private e-mail to you all.
Jane will be in my memories for ever, she will always hold a special place in my heart.
Love and prayers to you and your family.

Nicole, I am so sorry this has happened. Your mother was a wonderful person. So much came through in the Dignity story. She lived a very full life. I am hopeful that you may find some comfort ahead in this Christmas season, making time for you ... too much to process in all that has happened to you this year...Peace and joy and grace in all that comes your way.... I will always remember Grandmother Tanguy's voice saying, "I'm happy to help." Her willingness to do whatever needed to be done in the best interest of family was neverending and very endearing. She had a very dignified and proper style that inspired others to live life to the fullest. Her strength over the years is an encouragement to me looking ahead to the future.

All our love and prayers for peace go out to Grandma's friends, community and of course, the rest of our family. We especially want to thank her neighbor who played a crucial part in her life and in these circumstances.

I have been reminded through all of this how very important it is to care for each other and to share that love in action and in words every day of our lives. Not everyone gets to live a long life with as much class and dignity as Grandmother Tanguy. The time we have together is precious. Make the most of it.

With all our love and prayers for peace and comfort, we are with you in spirit today and throughout the next few months especially.

Grandma will always be in my heart. She was a loving mentor, a guide for a good life. Importantly, she taught me how to not always hit a worm burner off the tee. Love you, Grandma!

Judith,bonjour
A bientôt

Some of my older patients would worry that when they turned a certain age, they would have to give up things they valued. Things like driving, managing their finances, or living independently. I would tell them about my grandmother, who was 89 at the time and was generally older than them, and did all of those very things. I have continued to share her story since then. One patient would always ask how my grandmother in Texas was doing. Grandma was inspiring to individuals she had never met.

Jane will be missed dearly. She had such a sweet spirit and was always kind and gentle with me. We would meet regularly at Panera Bread to review business. She was always prepared with her questions and wanted to discuss current events. She was most proud though when she had won at bridge and would take that opportunity to buy my lunch. There was seldom a time we got together that I did not learn another fascinating aspect of her and Dennis's lives. I pray they are reunited in Heaven after such a wonderful life together here on earth.

Impressions of Jane Tanguy as a girl of 24:
Stunning. Really beautiful.
I love her smile, and her eyes are so happy.
A hint of mischief, too.
Vibrant.

Jane was a light in everyone's life. She shared her smile and boundless good spirit with all, and that sunny attitude was infectious. She taught me how to hold a golf club! She made me excited to hit the driving rangesomething I never thought possible. I aspire to be as mobile, sprightly and sharp as she was in the later decades of her life.
