Mary Jane left this world to be with her Heavenly Father, quietly and peacefully with her husband and sons by her side.
Born Mary Jane Macaluso (McLewis) in Bryan, Texas, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Mary Jane devoted her life to helping others, volunteering in the community, in the Church, and in schools. In 1999, she was named Citizen of the Year for her work in the community. She enjoyed her work with the Circle of Friends, raising money for the Children's Hospital, and especially her work at First United Methodist Church in Pflugerville where she volunteered for many projects, served as one of the campus coordinators, and was proud to be associated with the Servant Angels. When her sons were in school, Mary Jane and husband Ron were co-presidents of the PTA, and Mary Jane was president of the athletic booster club. She helped Ron start several businesses, managed a dinner theater, and worked with the Chamber of Commerce, but more than any of those, she enjoyed being a world class shopper.
Mary Jane was married to Ron, the love of her life, for 47 wonderful years and they had two adoring sons, Blake and wife, Kim, and Jeff and wife, Sonia. She had five grandchildren, Austin, Reagan, Carson, Logan, and Mason. She is also survived by one sister, Annie Daniels and husband, James, and two brothers, Frankie McLewis and wife, Sharon, and Sammy McLewis. She also had many loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held for Mary Jane on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 4:00 p.m.at First United Methodist Church in Pflugerville, 500 E. Pecan Street, Pflugerville.
Donations may be made to the Mary Jane Sandford Memorial Fund at First United Methodist Church in Pflugerville.

Circle of Friends will never forget your wonderful committment to helping Dell Children's Hospital. I remember the Gala we did, mostly inspired and coordinated by Mary Jane. It was a super event and a great time for all in Pflugerville. May God surround you with his love. Circle of Friend--Linda Krzesniak
