Bob and I will always remember the great conversations we had when Mary was visiting with Dineen and Phil. It was a nice summer day sitting under a tree in their front yard.

Dear Dineen & Marybeth,
So sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She was a wonderful person and neighbor on Prospect Street. We lived directly next door to you. Do you remember the Choquette's. I also remember babysitting for you many years ago. Those were great times and your Dad, Tony, was so good to our family. My sincere condolences to your families. Love, Charlotte Choquette Pittman

Dineen, Marybeth and all - Your mom was simply amazing. One story I remember about her was told to me by my dad. He and Uncle Jackie, when they were boys, were supposed to be watching the goats. They weren't and the goats got to a berry bush of some sort and got drunk. When Nonna found out she chased the two boys and they hid under a bed where she couldn't reach them laughing their heads off. Nonna told Auntie Mary, "Maria, go get me the broom". She did as she was told and then Nonna was able to get at Jackie and Johnny with the broom. She then turned and swatted Auntie Mary. Auntie Mary said to Nonna, "What did I do?" Nonna said, "Don't you ever turn on your brothers." I love that story. Your mom was elegance personified. Even though I've been too far away to visit very often, I will miss her.

Dineen and Marybeth,
Your mom will be missed by so many, what a lovely lady and a sweet Aunt. Peter and I have fond memories of Aunt Mary and Uncle Tony on the dance floor at our wedding and stopping by to visit at Old Saybrook. My guess is Uncle Tony will be waiting at the pearly gates with St. Peter to greet your dear momma.

Dineen and Marybeth and families - Tommy and I are deeply saddened by Aunt Mary's passing. When I first met your family, she told me to speak my mind and not be intimidated by "the Tonons" - lol - how great is that? Loved her ever since. She will be terribly missed.

Sorry for the loss of such a wonderful woman. Her career ended when she was Office Supervisor at the Connecticut Yankee Nuclear Power Plant. Mary was highly respected and loved by all the CY employees.
